Just watched HK news and watching C.Y. Leung hiding in his office, sending out speeches to the angry crowd. Did you think of the reason why this all began? It was all because Beijing couldnt keep a promise. A country is a liar. You disgust and shame the Chinese ethnic and now your actions will only make things worse. The protest was given permission, and when the protest happened, you surround the students with fences. Was that necessary? You just pissed off everyone and when more protestors came, you close the doors to a public square. Ok, you can say that your safety is important but why did you surround the students sitting peacefully at the square? Joshua Wong telling students to charge into the square was wrong but what did you do to provoke this? The protest was only suppose to last a weekend under registered papers. The students would have been there then gone before Monday. So why did you feel the need to engage the students? As HK watches, more people side with the students because they saw what you did. As HK citizens tell you that the only thing is to let the registered students enter back into the square, you attack with minimal force. Tear gas and pepper spraying civilians that came to express their support for the students. You only angered even more, and once you announce for a mutual discussion, triads come out. I dont know whose dumb idea was to tell triads to get rid of people but it becomes obvious who sent them when the police dont arrest wrong doers. I dont know what will happen tomorrow as it will be the day before Monday but I hope there is a peaceful resolve. I dont want to wake up knowing people were attacked, injured, or killed while I slept. We just want mutual interactions, to talk and express our opinions on Beijings inability to keep a promise. It was so simple. China just had to follow through the terms they AGREED on when Hong Kong was passed back to China. China, stop lingering in the past, you need to move forward, 中國人有句說話叫做不進則退.
