Just watched Lockheed Martins Fusion R&D video. Extremely exciting, as fusion power could change the world so much[0]. Important to note they have not built a working prototype at all yet. It states that it is at least 5 years away, and their true intent is clear when they say great military vehicles in 10 years. This project basically is how they intend to remain a player against a possibly US-hostile oil industry & carbon emission caps. Worth noting though that Lockheed Martins Skunk Works is pretty much the physical engineers equivalent to Google, Facebook, Amazon etc, and was what brought to the world the wonders that are the SR-71 Blackbird and U-2 spy plane. When those guys go at something, miracles happen :D
