Just watched Marley and me for about the 10th time. Dont fully understand why i watch it, it always makes me cry......tears streaming down my face plugged nose cry. I am one of those people that has been rescueing animals since the first grade. Dogs, Birds, Reptiles, Rabbits, and on and on. At one time quite a few years ago when married to my first husband i had 27 birds, 2 dogs, a cat, a ball python, i think thats it. Over the years i try to figure out why i am so drawn to them. Parrots ive had have almost peirced my nose, broken fingers, fractured wrists, but i still go back for more, Why because i love and respect them, i feel their hurt from mistreatment, I see the anquish and dispair in there eyes......they may forgive us for what we do to them but they never forget. And then theres that moment when the decision has to be made Toryn 8 years old cancer winning the battle, Draco my sons belgian draft whose back legs were crippling. I still wake in the night to pee and forget, trying half asleep to step around him and remembering after over a year the pain still envelopes me. I know even through it all....the tears, the sadness i wouldnt change 1 moment because the joy they have brought me, and will continue to bring me is worth it all. Thanks for listening.
