Just watched Pride. What an absolutely brilliant film, based on a true story. It bought back a lot of memories for me. Working for British Rail, during the strike, we collected for the miners each month. We took turns to go to a colliery to give it to the striking miners. I remember going up, with my then boyfriend. We both had cropped hair, jeans and Doc Martens. I had to get up in front of all these guys and say a few words. They introduced me as a lad from British Rail.. haha.. Sadly i think the solidarity and struggle portrayed in that film, would not happen now:(( We are a changed society indeed.
