Just watched a double bill of Ride Along and ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel... Ride Along is instantly forgettable if slightly funny and silly throughout but what is it with Ice Cubes furrowed brow, badass,shouty school of acting in EVERY SINGLE film?!! Mind you he delivers the killer line shut up or I’ll taser you... in the mouth!’ ‘The Grand Budapaest Hotel’ was so vividly rich and sickly sweet that it made me feel almost nauseous but I guess that’s Wes Anderson’s trademark, twee, quaint, overly stylized but just a matter of personal taste. That said I was completely and utterly consumed by and lost in the story like a melting chocolate drop in a steaming, hot cup of cocoa... with marshmallows! Oh and such an amazing ensemble cast; worth seeing just for that.
