Just watched a jumping spider (Salticidae) leap four inches from my 70/300 telephoto lens and catch a fly that was sat on a bottle of Leo beer. Fly didnt know what hit it as they dropped to the desk. Arry the Arachnid then spent the next 90 minutes sucking the juices out of Fred the Fly. A dejuiced and crumpled-up exoskeleton is all that is left of Fred the Fly. Freda the Fly is buzzing around asking where he is because dinner is ready. Im thinking of writing to Sir David Attenborough to see if hes interested in doing a documentary on the Wildlife Of My Desk.
