Just watched the Magdaline sisters...... What a travisty that our grandparents era were so engulfed in religion and subjected their daughters to such a life of hell all because they made a mistake ( in their eyes) what baby is a mistake... I cant ever watch this movie again Im ready to rip their eyes out ,(nuns & priests) but I guess the hereafter, wherever they went after death gave them their Justs . Im sick literally sick to my stomach that these poor girls suffered like they did and just one word from their families could of got them out... And they never came... How could they let them rot in such misery.. Its unfadamable to me.. My mother RIP would of killed for me if it came to that so would of my father... In just one generation before them, the thoughts of the neighbours knowing anything about the ins and outs of their lives behind closed was such an embarresent that they would leave their own daughters to suffer like this .... Thankfully womens liberation n rock n roll changed our lives forever, for the good..... What happened to the fathers .. Nothing... Typical. At least in this day n age theres real men out there that would stand up for his woman n child n never allow her the horror of a life with these vermom, then again no woman would stand for it either. 1996 was the last one to close, cant believe they stayed open for so long. Even after all the exposure ... Imagine the home washing machine was the invention to bankrupt them.... How mental is that.
