Just weighing in with some thoughts here. I first got on the Q - TopicsExpress

Just weighing in with some thoughts here. I first got on the Q Express during the Yankee Stadium era, saw numerous configurations of the band, and Terrys RR and Quartet and Crazy Trio. Never saw Steve Ferguson but LOVE his playing on the early Q material. Always thought Al was a great guitarist, but Unapproachable after shows, but Joey, Tom, and Terry were always gracious. Tampa is always a good place to see them as Tom Staley adds an extra kick to the proceedings. That being said, this NEW Q is really finding its legs and while I totally miss Joey, Johnny and the Toms, I think this version of the band makes Terry very happy indeed! I have no intention of getting off the bus, as long as Terry Adams is driving, I have now seen over 1100 live shows, 90% of my Bucket List artists(10% are dead!) and Terry ranks as my favorite live keyboard player and personality. From the Perkins album all the way to the new stuff, the different configurations of the band have done some remarkable music, and the live shows are ALWAYS fun and entertaining, and sometimes supremely intense. Never saw another band go from Sun Ra to Michael Rowed the Boat Ashore and pull it off either!:) Happy 2015 to the New Q, and Terry, keep on ROCKIN! See you in Florida or maybe New Orleans around Jazz Fest time maybe? hint hint.... Thank you for all the WONDERFUL music and fun you have given this broken down concert veteran with little hearing left, you truly are ONE of a kind! Peace, The Merrill Family:)
