Just what we dont need: poisoned air and rain. There has to be a better way than better life through chemicals. Not to say there there arent some short-term financial benefits, but if theres been this much effect in nearly 20 years, what will happen in another 20? And yesterday I read that there are now fracking chemicals in the Colorado river which supplies water for millions. The air around cracking sites has dangerous chemicals. Yesterdays Ft Collins paper said that if we didnt do fracking it would cost the state billions a year. I get that. But how many billions is it going to cost in terms of suffering, illnesses, birth defects, and then upsetting the whole ecosystem? I know it might take a while to be more evident, but were already seeing it. For one thing, Roundup blocks cytochrome p450 in our bodies needed for Phase 1 liver detoxification and we need Phase 1 so the 6 processes of Phase 2 can work. We dont just need to render neutral outside toxins but our own internal ones, including our own hormones. Question: is this all what we really want for ourselves, kids, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors? Where are our values? The consciousness of Americans has to change from better life through chemicals and that can only happen from being informed and giving this a little thought. Or even a lot of thought and caring.
