On behalf of many supporters of active healthy sustainable travel may I thank you for promoting our cause so effectively during your three years at the Department for Transport. In particular we note the easing of regulations so more councils can implement area-wide 20mph limits. We look forward to the day when 20mph becomes the national speed where we all live, shop, work and play. I trust that you will persuade more of your new colleagues (including Theresa May) to get on their Whitehall bikes. Of course, the Home Secretary may have a finer head of hair but neither of you need to disturb your long flowing locks by wearing a helmet. ******************************
