Just when you think youve seen the worse of the worse, a dog like Liam comes into our world. Liam spent his 3 - 4 years of life hungry and in pain. His protruding bones tell us he was severely starved. Liam should weigh close to 60 pounds, but the scale barely touches the 37 pound mark. We honestly dont know how he survived. Liams open wounds tell us that wherever he was kept, he was unable to move, his pressure sores are remarkable. The deep wound on his neck tells us that he was most likely tethered with a very tight cord or rope. And the frostbite on his ears and tail tell us he was left outside in the cold elements. Liam should not have survived, but he did. And now, he belongs to our family and we promise him nothing but the wonder of love, the comfort of healing, and the magic of trust-worthy hands. Though Liams body tells us a painful story, his soulful eyes, delicate kisses and wagging tail show us that there is a stoic, brave and incredible boy who wants nothing more than to live his life.
