Just witnessed a pedestrian being knocked down in front of a zebra crossing. After much negotiation the driver of the offending vehicle - a Nissan Matatu - agreed that the victim may be put in his car. But he insisted that his first stop would be the police station not the hospital. Meanwhile the victim - though breathing - was unconscious and bleeding from his nose. When we finally managed to carry him into the car, he surprised us all by sitting up then getting out and staggering away into the dark. The driver and the conductor quickly assessed the situation and sped off as well.
