Just wondering if other Indigenous people have this same problem. In our communities here an Indigenous man cant talk to his mother-in-law, nor can he talk to his daughter-in-law and the same with a woman she cant talk to her father-in-law or her son-in-law. My sons girlfriend who is Indigenous but raised different was talking to me and I was very uncomfortable. I will have to tell my son to remind her.... How are these issues addressed in our communities today? I remember my grandmother was bad for throwing strong hints.... As a kid I used to kinda get annoyed with this but that is a communication strategy that they used..... Hmmm pondering....:)
