Juventus captain Gianluigi Buffon has reiterated his personal goal of winning the Champions League with the club some day, insisting it is an aspiration shared by his team-mates. “I am curious to see if we can repeat last years performance [of reaching the quarter-finals] and even improve from then,” he stated at a press conference in the build-up to the match. “My personal dream is one which is shared by everyone at Juventus – to win the Champions League. By everyone I mean us players, the staff, the management and the fans. “The leadership has strengthened the team over the summer, but now it is up to us players to prove that we’re better on the pitch.”
