K. In my research, I also discovered a video uploaded by a gentleman who had saved plastic soda bottles. He had cut the bottoms off of them and stacked them, one inside the other, filled with ground...with little holes cut in the sides and fronts of them..and a wire or string laced through holes in the back of them. He had attached them to the fence inside of an old dog kennel that had been installed in his yard..making a cute little garden...something like a secret garden...if you like to keep things poetic. He inserted little starter plants, plants he had purchased, which were already started...or strawberries he had purchased or taken from other places...or lettuce plants he had started in his home...or on his step, for example. (This year I began my seeds, with a tiny bit of soil, in egg cartons...it has worked very well...they have a texture similar to those cardboard degradable plant starters that come with pre-started plants).
