KABHI SARI KABHI SKIRT I remember going to Neha Singhs home on - TopicsExpress

KABHI SARI KABHI SKIRT I remember going to Neha Singhs home on several occasions and she loves to change her clothes many times during the course of the evening. So now you see Neha in a sari, then in a skirt, then in a gown and then in something else. And I am amazed at how she manages to do all that while entertaining so many guests. It is like a Bollywood song where suddenly every minute you see the heroine in a different outfit and you wonder - hein, yeh kab change kiya? Last night, At Anil and Kiran Shahris party, my favourite teen (3, not teenage silly) deviyan - Kiran, Manisha Amarnani and Soniya Sajnani, went and changed their outfits during the event. Even we were asked to bring a change of clothes and I took mine but did not have the energy to go through the process. It was so hot that I think it would have been better to have a shorts and t-shirt beach party so that everyone would have been more comfortable. In fact, a few men had very sensibly come in their chaddis. We were remembering Minal Bodanis pajama party at her Palm residence a few years ago which has become a very memorable event of our lives. It was so enjoyable and eventful. Now with this new trend of wearing several outfits in the course of an evening, I am thinking that with my overflowing wardrobe, maybe I should also change my attire every hour during my next party. But then, with me being so stressed, most of the times while hosting a party, I dont have time to change at all till my guests begin arriving. I remember at one of my Diwali parties, I was still lighting the candles in my t-shirt and shorts when the guests began arriving. I was so flustered that I told them to make themselves comfortable till I went and took a quick shower, which is something I hate. Normally, before an important engagement, I like to take my own sweet time to dress up - sajna hai mujhe aap sub ke liye...But somehow I am never able to dress up to my hearts content for my own events - always rushed. Then once, I wore a wrong coloured t-shirt under my lovely kurta and made such a fashion faux pas that I cringe every time I think about that evening. I never ever want to see those photos of mine again. Once my dhoti tore down and I had to rush and get a churidaar to wear. And then with hundreds of guests to look after, mujhe toh marne ki bhi fursat nahin milti. Hey Bhagwan, I wonder how these ladies go through the Herculean task of changing clothes several times in one evening. I think I shall stick to wearing my one ensemble after all.
