KARATE BARRE KICKS We put this exercise close to the end of our leg series to work the outer thighs, glutes & core. The goal is to get your leg as high as you can, but we dont expect you to get your leg as high as our instructor does in this video!!! - Try 8 slow karate barre kicks - Then speed it up and add a bit more power for 8 kicks - Then try 3 sets of pulses (8 pulses each set) whilst holding the leg parallel to the ground. Try not to let the leg drop!! Youll be feeling the burn in your gluteal muscles... thats a promise. Make sure you keep your leg slightly forward from your hip and keep your core switches on - if your core is working correctly then you shouldnt feel it in your back. Try using a chair at home for balance, or even better come and try one on our challenging but fun barre classes!
