KATE BECKINSALE FITNESS SECRETS AND ROUTINE I exercise 4 times a week. I go to the gym when I have to, and if I have to bulk up or slim down for a film, I will. I’ve recently got back into exercising four times a week. I run for half an hour at a time but never outdoors, as I don’t exercise in public. My gym’s in my garage at home. I love to do yoga and I force my husband to take hikes with me. It’s about doing something every single day that’s fun and good for you. Yoga also gives you a good reason to relax at the end of the session by just lying down for a couple of minutes. I really don’t like exercising that much. That’s why I mix up my work outs, so I don’t get bored. I do have my own gym at home, so that makes it easier. I have to be dragged to the gym because I hated PE at school and would much prefer to sit down and smoke a cigarette. I don’t take growth hormone pills or do eight hours of yoga a day or anything like that. Seriously, I don’t love going to the gym, but I do think it’s one of those things you have to do, especially if one wants to work in this town. I never thought that [yoga fanatic] would be me, but I do feel a lot better (for doing yoga ]. And a happy side effect is that it lifts my bottom.
