KATY UPDATE: for those keeping track of her ups & downs travails seeking healing she called me up at 1:30 AM this morning for yet another ER trek due to yet another painful burns on skin outbreak unfolding. This follows closely on the heels of a previous ER sojourn a few days ago. There have been well over a couple dozen ER < hospital stays since this latest seemingly non-stop bout began unfolding July 10th after a hiatus of outbreak symptoms which lasted about six months. Combating depression has become inter-twined with combating the physical Previous medical expert thought patterns have been pump in steroids to do chemistry combat. That has been done so much going on two years now the New Kids on the Block I pushed in to replacing the band aide guys are suggesting that possibly the heavy duty steroids themselves might now be part culprit in this puzzle which is far from being solved. One of the New Guys suggested last week this might be beyond him and voiced he could facilitate entry in to Mayo Clinic in Minneapolis for why answers. he has now expanded the developing diagnosis in to something they call Erythema multiforme-Major of which SJS is a side show. EM-Major has had me reading about this just a bit which now contains the first time I have seen the word lethal used in a potential format pertaining to what is happening to her. She appears to be sliding down hill slowly but surely. At this stage all I want in this world is my daughter to have a life back. It has also been voiced that John Hopkins in Baltimore might be able to provide succor. Either way help beyond what I can provide is needed to facilitate getting her to one of these fine institutions as well as maintaining her there for testing duration.
