KAY KAY THE GIRL FROM GUANGZHOU. I watched Witness on Aljazeera - TopicsExpress

KAY KAY THE GIRL FROM GUANGZHOU. I watched Witness on Aljazeera English and was amazed by Kay Kay the girl from Guangzhou. She has witnessed the great transformation of China. With the one-child policy and an economic system of socialism, the Peoples Republic of China has made the greatest reform in the histopolitical journey in their development. Kay Kay is the face of modern day China, a bright, educated and ambitious 20 year old girl living in the booming southern city of Guangzhou. She represents a new generation of middle class Chinese only children, benefiting from Chinas economic growth. Today Guangzhou is generally reckoned to be one of the most agreeable Chinese cities in which to live. Kay Kay, born in 1992 in Guangzhou had uneducated parents. They had to work on shifts to bring food leaving Kay Kay to spend her evenings alone after they left the family house. They had a sense and an imagination of a better Chinese future. As stated by her father We hope that we all prosper under socialism. As China embarked on an industrial revolution, today Guanzhou is the mastermind behind most of Chinas export. Here we are in Afrika. The land of rich culture, minereal resources and human resource. With frequent changes in government offering us nothing but pauperities. This was never the dream. What they fought for have been crushed and now picke with trowels. Look at the situation in CAR, South Sudan, Northern Nigeria and Somalia. Dead bodies dispalyed on streets of South Sudan and CAR like second hand clothes dispalyed at the Kantamanto market. A violent continent, rich suffocating the poor. Under the leakin roof of my hut i write this. I had dreamt of being a witness to an industialised Afrika, less economic hardship. How do I say this? I am experiencing the same fate as my grannies and mummies. Another illiterate generation springing up. I hope its never to late to embark on a Socialist policy allowing an economic reform. We throw away capitalism which is retrogressing Afrikas prospect to continental development.
