~KCCCR NEWS~ Pierre has Special Olympics basketball winners Three of Pierre’s Special Olympics basketball teams and a cheerleading squad were top finishers at this past weekend’s Special Olympics state basketball tournament held in Pierre. Chuck Quinn of Oahe, Inc. says basketball team winners were: The Unified Squad won the gold medal, the Pierre White team won bronze and the Pierre Green Team finished fourth. Coaches are Roger Edwards, Jerry Hofer and Mick Heckenlaible. Meanwhile, the cheerleading squad won the silver medal. Coach is Jody Clarambeau.
