KDF to the rescue: Every country that suffers serious crisis always falls back to the Military to bring sanity. In Egypt, the Military brought sanity after the Economy nearly collapsed. In Mexico, the Military came in after the drug lords conspired with the Police and turned the country into a Narco-state. The appointments of General Gordon Kihalangwa, and General Phillip Kameru to the Immigration and Intelligence Units is just another sign that the KDF is the pillar. How I wish three or four Generals are taken to run the police service. The problem in the Kenya Police is not lack of manpower- but pure lack of discipline, patriotism and a productive work ethic. I believe that if some tough Generals are placed to just install discipline, accountability structures, and proper work ethic in the thousands of the Police men and women, half of Kenyas security problems will be dealt with.
