KENYAS ROTTEN CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM A while ago, i lamented here how i lost my new Samsung S4 to con-men via the OLX. The culprit (George Musyoka Kamenya) was later apprehended and remanded at the Industrial Remand Prison. Mention after a mention, characterized by inexplicable delays by the prosecutor in ostensible connivance with the accused have denied me justice hitherto. The latest letter in my possession about my case indicates that the first hearing would be on this Friday 19thSeptember 2014, at Milimani Courts. But to my utter-shock, this is what i have just received (on a call and then a text message) from the Prosecuting Officer based at the Central Police Station: My name is Inspector Mwaniki from Central Police Station. Am calling to inform you that the dates for the hearing of your case were changed from 19th Sep 2014 and thus, hearing was done morning today at 8am. Its sad you didnt appear, yet you were supposed to be the first Prosecution witness who also doubles as a complainant. Am very saddened by the fact that this corrupt quack is an Inspector of Police charged with the responsibility of a prosecutor!!! I dont know how much this officer was paid to blatantly jeopardize my case so much. But my eyes are wide open - no blinking!
