KEYS TO THE KINGDOM Good day brethren and welcome to Scripture Review today; To enter into an inheritance on earth it is required that you have a key in your possession to gain access. Irrespective of the level at which you are operating or the category you belong, access will be denied if you don’t have the right key. We live in the world where code rules and only those who have it gain access. Just carrying a key will not be sufficient; you must have the correct key. If you see anyone man who has made it in life, whether in righteousness or unrighteousness it is a necessary prerequisite to have the key before you can gain access. If the children of darkness in their generation can use worldly keys to gain access into their inheritance and buy a future for themselves, then, the children of kingdom definitely need the keys of David to open every door which no man can close, and to close every door which no man can open. You may be asking yourself about the importance of the keys to the Kingdom. Ask yourself another question; how do you gain access into a house that is under lock? Invariably, you need a key. God’s kingdom is to be entered; the keys represent authority for entry. The keys are also related to the binding and loosing in Jesus name, to whom God the Father gave all authority in heaven and on earth, and He has delegated His authority to Peter and the church for carrying out the great commission. The authority for proclaiming the gospel includes His delegated authority to ‘’bind’’ and to ‘’loose’’ on earth. The complex Greek construction behind ‘’shall be bound’’ and ‘’shall be loosed’’ points to the complete adequacy of Jesus’ death on the cross. In the Spirit filled proclamation of the gospel, the church has been given the keys to bind demons and disease and to loose the prisoners of sin, addictions and sickness from their bondage and captivity unto salvation. The binding and loosing is an already accomplished provision, because of Jesus’ finished work on the cross that is now released on earth through the church to those who will believe in Christ unto salvation. Do you believe in Jesus Christ unto salvation? Have you repented and forsaken all your sins and inadequacies? Our God is merciful, he will give you the keys into your inheritance in Jesus name, Amen.
