KFC had to pay the real Colonel Sanders $1 million to quit talking - TopicsExpress

KFC had to pay the real Colonel Sanders $1 million to quit talking crap on their chicken publicly! Yes, Colonel Sanders was a real guy. At the age of 65 he was unemployed and forced out of his highway-side restaurant. He wore a black suit instead of a white one, and began selling the right to his pressure-cooker fried chicken with 11 secret herbs and spices. He sold the company, Kentucky Fried Chicken, in 1975 to a food and liquor conglomerate. He stayed on as a goodwill brand ambassador for a whopping $70,000 a year! He donned a white suit and was driven around visiting corporate headquarters all around. He became very bitter when his chicken was below par and continued to slip in quality. Colonel Sanders hated the fast food culture. So, the Colonel started up a new restaurant, because he didn’t think anyone could get a decent meal anymore. He then launched a verbal attack campaign against KFC. The situation was taken to court, but was settled for a reported $1 million hush money given to the Colonel. Today, the recipe is nothing like how the original Colonel Sanders made it, but the chain lives on.*Realtalk*
