KIKORI in the Gulf Province of Papua New Guinea can be very - TopicsExpress

KIKORI in the Gulf Province of Papua New Guinea can be very challenging for logistics. For over a year now the Piku Team have been trying unsuccessfully to move a crate of 10 000 childrens books into the Kikori project area. Here each child will receive a free book Monty and the Lake Kutubu Invasion A childrens book, with the moral of the story associated with invasive species and the harmful impacts they can have on native species. Today we tracked down our crate of books to a customs warehouse, where they were almost put into an unclaimed container and sealed till further notice. Their plight was brought to our attention a few weeks ago when a small shipping agent stumbled across them in the warehouse. The Kotas Forwarding Agency literally work on the move, with phone in car and emails via mobile, thanks be to Digicel. With help from the Kotas Forwarding Agency, hopefully by the end of this year the children of Kikori and Kutubu will have in hand their much anticipated copy of Monty and the Lake Kutubu Invasion - Meeting People in another Piku Team Adventure -
