KING DAVID’S PSALMS 7:1-9 ( of 17) The prayer of a wronged man…. 1: O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me: E IĒHOVA e koʻu Akua, ke hilinaʻi aku nei au iā ʻoe: E hoʻopakele ʻoe iaʻu i ka poʻe a pau nāna au i hoʻomaʻau mai; E hoʻōla mai hoʻi ʻoe iaʻu; 2: Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver. O haehae mai ʻo ia i koʻu ʻuhane me he liona lā, A mokumoku au, ʻaʻohe mea e ola ai. 3: O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands; E Iēhova e koʻu Akua, inā i hana au i kēia; Inā he hewa i loko o koʻu mau lima; 4: If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:) Inā i hoʻihoʻi aku au i ka hewa i koʻu hoaaloha; A i lawe wale i kā ka mea i huhū hala ʻole mai iaʻu; 5: Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. E hoʻokolokolo ʻo Iēhova i nā kānaka; E hoʻopono mai ʻoe iaʻu, e Iēhova, E like me koʻu pono, a me koʻu ʻoiaʻiʻo i loko oʻu. 9: Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.
