KLEIN CREEK FLOOD MITIGATION PROJECT UPDATE The contractor for the Armstrong Park Flood Control Projects has installed almost all the storm sewer pipe, set, poured the base slab for the overflow structure and removed all the spoil material and a portion of the spoil from the pump station excavation. Next week they will be installing the dewatering system to finish the pump station excavation, continue concrete and reinforcement work on the overflow structure, excavate for weirs and begin importing dirt for the gravity reservoir. The siphon contractor is working with Engineering to coordinate their detour route for the closure of Illini and Arrowhead with our detour for the Illini Drive Bridge Replacement Project.
