KM Football Ass. Elects Bakary Dampha Unopposed In the ongoing Gambia Football Federation (GFF) regional Adoptive and Elective congress, the Kanifing Municipality (KM) on Sunday June 23rd, 2013 elected unopposed Bakary Dampha alias Paco as president of the newly instituted Kanifing Municipality Football Association (KMFA) at the congress held at the KMC chambers. Nine out of the ten teams from the five recognized zones in the Municipality attended the most awaited congress in which Bakary Dampha of Kachikally United of Bakau was unanimously elected as the President of KM Football Association. Bakary Dampha and Sang Ndong of Serekunda West were nominated to contest for the post of presidency but Sang Ndong failed to attend the congress which automatically disqualifies him to contest according to the constitution of the Association which states that “no candidate shall be voted in absentia”.
