KOH TAO MURDER: MYANMAR SENDS LEGAL CONSULTANTS FOR SUSPECTS ----------------------------------------------- Myanmar Embassy in Thailand sent a special delegation to Koh Tao Island to help two Myanmar migrants who are accused of committing murder to two British tourists on September 14. According to Thai police, the DNA samples taken from the two Myanmar suspects matched on the ones found on the victims. MITV talked to a member of the delegation, provided by Myanmar, Legal Consultant U Aung Myo Thant concerning the case. U Aung Myo Thaint said Thai authorities have declined the delegation in meeting an eye witness. Legal Consultant, Aung Myo That: The case is with full of twists and turns. And they declined our request to meet the witness who called as Ko Maung Maung. We make our objection about that. This case is not a usual one. Two our citizens are accused of murder, rape and drug abuse in Thailand. In such an age of open and transparency, its very much doubtful on the fact that they failed to arrange to see the witness by a delegation of a state. Myanmar government is ready to help for their justice. Wed like to urge to leverage the efforts. Thai police said on October 2nd that the two Myanmar migrants confessed to the murders of Hannah With ridge, 23, and David Miller, 24, on the island. The two suspects are now being detained at Koh Samui.
