@KPFK News: A ban on single-use plastic bags went into effect in Los Angeles County at the start of this year. It’s the only county in Southern California to enact such a ban. But state lawmakers, with the support of environmental groups, are pushing for a statewide ban. They announced the launch of a campaign outside of a plastic bag manufacturing plant in Vernon this afternoon. KPFK’s Jasmine Broderick has the story.
