KTR warns erring staff of stern action Panchayat Raj Minister K Tarakarama Rao has warned the staff of his department of stern action if they behave in negligent manner. Speaking to media persons after making a surprise visit to Panchayat Raj Department in D-Block of Secretariat here on Thursday, the minister said that the government would not tolerate absentees and late comers. During his visit, he found that many employees were either not present on their seats. He said that all the government schemes would fall flat if the employees fail to perform their duties promptly. Admitting that government employees have played a major in formation of Telangana, KTR said they need to play a broader role in the formation of Bangaru Telangana. He announced that the government would soon introduce the biometric attendance system in all its offices.
