KWARA EXECUTIVES DEFEATS LAWMAKERS The Kwara State Executives led by His Excellency, Governor AbdulFatah Ahmed, today at the Kwara State Stadium defeated the State’s Legislators (Lawmakers) by 2-1 as part of this year Independent Day Celebration. The skilful and left footed Governor opened the scoring with a well-placed shot from the spot-kick in the first half and the Secretary to the State Government, Alh. Isiaka Gold doubled the lead after dribbling pass two defenders. The Lawmaker’s consolation goal was masterminded and scored by Hon. Ganiyu Abdulkareem toward end of second half. Speaking after the match, Governor Fatai said, the novelty match was organised as part of the Independent Day Celebration and promised that his administration will commence renovation of Training Pitches and Indoor Sports Hall in-line with his dream of rebranding Kwara Sports for global Interest.
