Pissed yet? @Jeffry Winters - — Another massive farm bill, effective for five years, featuring huge taxpayer giveaways to wealthy corporate farmers (mostly the owners arent really farmers), and the only people really being hurt are the poor. How unusual. The lobbyists invest $150 million in their pawns, our public servants and they reap many tens of billions of taxpayer dollars in return. I wish I could get a return on investment of that order. On the other hand, it would make me ill that I was stealing food from poor children and disabled veterans so I could make a few fat cats fatter. Is anybody else pissed about this? Id rather give our money to the poor than to the insanely wealthy.
