Kadesha Hodge 16 Years Verchilds High School Kadesha is best described as versatile and flexible. This is a theme that is evident in by her participation and excellence in a member of areas. She is involved in various track and field events, takes her school work seriously, and also has a love for the performing arts; with a focus on dance. Ms Hodge was selected twice for the St. Kitts-Nevis Leeward’s Track and Field Team. Kadesha competed in Anguilla where she placed first in her events. She was also named Class Champion at Verchilds High School. Although, Kadesha does most events in Track and Field, she prefers High Jump. She also enjoys singing and dancing and attending church. Her versatility was again highlighted when she was given the opportunity to lead the Youth Fellowship where she delivered the sermon. Kadesha placed 2nd runner-up in the Miss VHS Pageant in 2012 and has also participated in the Clash of the High Schools Competition. She is also the PRO for a Future Farmers Club. Her experienced in the Miss VHS pageant taught her the importance of maintaining her school work, while participating in extracurricular activities. She highlighted that one of the lessons she learnt, and which for other youth to learn; is to be careful not to allow extracurricular activities to negatively affect ones grades. Ms Hodge stated with a smile that she looks to her mother as a role model who is careful to set a good example and who chooses to find something encouraging to comment on.
