Kaindu speaks on Njabulo Ncube Sikhumbuzo Moyo Senior Sports Reporter HIGHLANDERS Football Club head coach Kelvin Kaindu has dismissed as unfounded claims that there is a fallout with his leading striker, Njabulo Ncube who has not featured for the club in their last couple of matches. Ncube, who rejoined Bosso from his Botswana base at the beginning of the year, has scored five goals for the Bulawayo giants. “He picked up an injury during training and his absence has nothing to do with discipline because in any event we do not have disciplinary problems at Highlanders,” said Kaindu. He said once fully fit, the former Soccer Star of the Year finalist will be available for selection just like any other player and would receive no special favours. Ncube, believed to be Kaindu’s first real acquisition since joining Bosso last season, is on an “earn as you play” contract that also allows either part to terminate the contract.Talk within the Highlanders corridors was that the former Railstars man could be having disciplinary problems at the club hence his non-appearance as Kaindu is known to be a strict disciplinarian. Highlanders roped in three new players during the second transfer window, bringing in 2005 Soccer Star of the Year finalist Master Masitara, unheralded Tinashe Chipunza and speed merchant former CapsUnited junior Gabriel Nyoni. Of the three players Nyoni has been a revelation and in a league match on Wednesday probably had his account sealed by the hard to please Bosso fans with an intelligently headed goal after he beat a poorly timed offside trap by Monomotapa players. Bosso went on to register a morale boosting 2-0 win ahead of a grudge derby match against How Mine next week.
