Kajiado Central MP and retired Army Major General, Joseph Nkaisery, has warned former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to keep off his business as far as his appointment by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, to replace Joseph Ole Lenku as the Interior Cabinet Secretary is concerned. Speaking in Kajiado when he visited his people, Nkaisery dismissed Raila Odinga’s demand that that Uhuru should have consulted him first before appointing his loyal foot-soldier to Government. He told Raila Odinga to go to hell because the decision on whether or not to take up Uhuru/ Ruto’s job as Cabinet Secretary solely rests with him and the people of Kajiado Central and he does not need Raila’s advice to take or reject the juicy offer. Besides, he said, Uhuru/ Ruto consulted him before making the appointment and that is what matters, not ODM or Raila Odinga. “Raila Odinga cannot block me from joining Uhuru/ Ruto’s Cabinet because he doesn’t own me. Uhuru/ Ruto consulted me before making appointment and I accepted; therefore the former PM should desist from complaining for me. I am not the property of ODM but my constituents,” said Nkaisery.
