Kalgoorlie-Boulder Urban Landcare Group (KBULG) is looking to recruit a Nursery Officer to join our successful team servicing the Goldfields. The successful Nursery Officer will be enthusiastic and independent person who is able to coordinate and run the day to day operations of the Karlkurla Community Native Plant Nursery and supervise volunteers. Excellent communication skills are essential with the ability to interact with all levels of our community. To be considered for this position you must: · Have previous Garden / horticulture experience · Able to work in a non-profit setting and liaise with NGO’s · Have experience working cooperatively and harmoniously with a wide range of people · Able to coordinate the day to day running of the Community Nursery · Complete Karlkurla Bushland Park Maintenance including weed removal and general maintenance · Have the ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays · Support the development and implementation of educational programs · Assist with events and promotional activities · Maintain nursery database, propagating records and admin duties You will need to have an interest in working with people and our environment. Good organisational, administration and interpersonal skills are a must. 20hrs / week neg – casual position.
