Kano State cannot generate more than N10 billion in a year but receives more than N34 billion per month from the Federal Allocation. Where does the money come from? Yoruba taxes and other incomes as well as from the Ijaws oil wealth. You are Yoruba praying to Jesus Christ and or Muhammed to provide you with job, house, a car and good health when in fact the same God you are praying to through Jesus Christ and or Muhammed had already provided you with abundant wealth. But due to your lack of wisdom and understanding, you cant fathom that you are poor and miserable today because the Gambari during their 50 years of presidency of Nigeria have devised several ways to use your God given wealth and resources for their own development. One such way is unitary system. This system takes the Yoruba wealth and resources to Abuja, to be shared by non-Yoruba. Before, it wasnt like this. The wealth and resources of the Yoruba remained within Yorubaland for its development. That was why between 1951 to 1966, we had free education, free and qualitative health care and welfare benefit for the unemployed and the aged throughout Yorubaland. We must return to Regional Autonomy. And if Kano or the Northern Region needs loan, the Yoruba Region would be willing to help out but at a rate, for whilst the Yoruba invested in its human resources, the Gambari at the time were more interested in Arab Religion. We cannot now enjoy the same growth and development. Unitary system is why you are in Europe or North America doing unproductive work and the more reason you are in Yorubaland poor and miserable. If you as a Yoruba citizen do not support Regional Autonomy now, not with your fist but with a weapon in your hand, your children and grandchildren will be slaves in Yorubaland, Europe and North American. Countries go to the World Bank, IMF and to other countries for loans. Nigeria had borrowed money from the World Bank, IMF, India and even China as recently as this year. It doesnt make economic and political sense that Gambari instead of borrowing money from all these sources to develop their homeland will wait on free money from the Yoruba taxes and incomes. Yoruba are just plain stupid.
