Kansas Board Searches For Education Commissioner The Kansas State Board of Education has begun the search for a successor to state Education Commissioner Diane DeBacker. Board members held a work session Wednesday with consultants from McPherson & Jacobson, a firm based in Omaha, Nebraska, that specializes in conducting national searches for boards of education. The board members discussed input they received from meetings with focus groups in their districts.
