Kansas is in the cross-hairs this morning. and most of the 4 state region will be tomorrow Active weather expected late today through Thursday with multiple rounds of thunderstorms...some severe possible. A strong cold front will move through the area late Thursday evening. Heavy rainfall possible as well. Turning much colder for end of the week. Thunderstorm chances will be on the increase from late tonight through Thursday night, as a cold front approaches and finally, passes through the region. While a limited potential for severe weather will exist with any storms that occur late tonight or again Wednesday night, the greater risk of severe weather, including the potential for large hail, damaging winds, and perhaps an isolated tornado, will be Thursday afternoon and evening. Parts of southeast and east central Oklahoma, as well as northwest and west central Arkansas will be most likely to see the worst storms. The severe weather potential should move east of the area by late Thursday evening, as drier air moves in behind the front. Day 1 is limited in scope of impact. The Day 2 scope for Thursday however is widespread and a much larger area for operations of impact is expected as can be seen
