Kareem lives with his parents and two sisters, Janna (8) and Taima’ (6), in Tal al Hawa area in Gaza. The sound of shelling was very high and we used to scream from fear every single night. Now, my sisters and I are able to sleep better since we took shelter at dad’s office. Kareem’s mother, Ghada, participated in the recreational activities organized for UN staff children who are taking shelter at UNDP office in Gaza. “During today’s activity Janna drew the UNDP building because she is very happy here. The boys had so much fun, even Kareem, who had high fever that day insisted on participating. I hope we can organize these fun activities for the children every day”.
