This is where they put increased negative pressure on the chest tube drainage apparatus to try to pull the air and fluid out of the space between the chest wall and lung which causes the lung to be able to better inflate. On a side note we did find out Karen fractured her scapula as well. It will heal fine, it was overlooked in being reported to us because quite frankly it just wasnt as important as scapular fractures will heal with no intervention. Keep praying! -Steve
