Karl Breul leds to Kings College, Cambridge, leds to E.M. Forster, who was there when Breul was teaching, and a reminder of Forsters novel Howards End, or at least the film based on Forsters novel. Looking for a scene at the end where Leonard Bast, the guy who faithfully attends the Music and Meaning talk, as if it is the only fresh air in his otherwise miserable working life, is crushed by a bookshelf full of books. I couldnt find a clip but the idea of a man yearning for more in his life but somehow being crushed by the possibility of grasping all that knowledge...takes me to Phillip Browns post and photo of a large collection of books...
