Kasese City After The Recent Attacks, Night Life Picking Amid Caution. By Goodluck Musinguzi After the bitter attacks in the Rwenzori region, the city of Kasese by National Standards is a sleeping giant but rising up. Walking on the streets you see few people but a closer look at some spots life is going on. Young people playing pool, music playing loud, young people dancing. Once in such places its hard to believe conflict has ravaged this region. The young people seem to be on the move but the older people take caution. Muhindo says the scars are still fresh and time will heal us. We caution our children but they cant be caged. Security forces are not seen meaning no carfew in the city. Visitors to town tell of expectation and fears. The border town near Democratic Republic of Congo can do better. Rock club was opened on independence day. But on 10th, its a deserted place. Those who spend at night what do they do to earn? Rwenzori region can rise up again.
