News : Indian Muslims are staunchly patriotic: AIMMM Wrong news on Barrister Owaisi regretted The news section of the daily Kashmir Observer has regretted the publishing of a news report about the fake poster that flashed through social media sites on September 1, attributing a controversial statement to Asaduddin Owaisi, Parliament Member from Hyderabad. The news item poured into our news hub from Twitter, the micro-blogging website. Someone had uploaded a poster with some seditious material and a picture of Owaisi. We used it because it had already triggered an outrage, but of course we should have verified its veracity from Mr. Owaisi; sometimes we fall prey to the online pranks. Now that the poster turns out to be false and a bid to defame an elected MP, we regret the discomfort this news item has caused to Mr. Owaisi and his supporters, Editor News, Kashmir Observer said. Meanwhile, All India Muslim Majlis-e Mushawarat, the apex body of Indian Muslim organizations, in its response has accused BJP of creating such baseless and concocted material in order to divide the nation on religious lines. Mr Owaisi has clearly denied this concocted lie. And, I as the head of the AIMMM would like to inform your readers and all concerned including the Hindutva criminals behind this fabrication that Indian Muslims are staunchly patriotic and there is no question that any Muslim will ever betray his/her homeland if it is attacked by a foreign power, be it Pakistan or any other state, said Zaffarul Islam Khan, who heads the Mushawarat. Pertinently, a Hindi poster with Asaduddins picture was floating around the Twitter on September 1. The poster had attributed a remark to the Hyderabad MP calling upon Indian Muslims to join Pakistan army in the event of an Indian attack against the country. Assaduddin was quick to rebut the poster. I am getting calls from media but I say its untrue, false, he said.
