Kasturba Garments - Initiative under Happy Village. Rotary Club of Chalakudy Central has inaugurated a Vocational Center on 9th July under Happy Village Scheme in the adopted village of V R Colony. There are about 200 economically backward families living in the area. In co-operation with the municipal authorities they got a building of 1500 sft and RC has provided with 15 Sewing Machine including the power model and one high end. Among the 42 women who approached the club, 15 were selected on merit and now going under training under an expert teacher. Rotary also helped to raise the Initial Working Capital and the initial products from the center has been sold during the installation ceremony of Rtn.Bobby. Kudos to all members of Rotary Chalakudy Central for their great initiative. LETS KASTURBA GARMENTS lights up many families in coming years... Happy Village Team.
