Kate M: I was in full support of this until I was up until 12:30 in my house by the Nugget, unable to sleep with the windows closed & AC on. I hope the city is making some SERIOUS cash on this because your residents are now very upset- and its only day 1. Also the music went on until after midnight, which is way too late, and after their contract allows. Im sure there are ways to mitigate the noise, or lower the volume after 10pm at least. I encourage you to get out there with a decibel meter in various parts of the city & see how loud it is. Right now the residents here are feeling sold out. I encourage you to read the threads on Nextdoor. Im sure Oct 15ths city council meeting will be lively. ===================================================== When an event organized by the city becomes the cause of public nuisance instead of welfare, who do we turn to? The Mayor, of course! But what do we do if the Mayor does nothing and tells you to vote for someone else if you dont like the noise? You Vote For Change!
