Katie Bugaski asked Hi all! We live in a house in Northville Mi with our awesome boy, Moose. We allow him to roam our front yard without a fence and unleashed if we are with him. He knows his boundaries and generally doesnt leave the yard. We have a distant neighbor who has small dogs and is very intimidated by him when she takes her dog for walks. Twice now she has called the police because she walked on the city sidewalk in front of our house and was intimidated by our dog. Moose didnt growl but did leave our yard and step into the neighbors adjacent driveway. The police advised us to get a front yard fence for liability purposes as the sidewalk is city property. Has anyone had an experience with such things they can share? Our dog is family, we want to make the best decisions to protect him from unintended consequences and misconception about his size. The neighborhood allows electric fences, but will that even do any good?
