Katie Hursts blog is actually what inspired this song. A couple of lines in the chorus are almost directly taken from things she wrote. Its important for people to realize that the adoption process is not all rainbows and butterflies—and yet—there is a God who is orchestrating the entire thing, who loves your child as much as you do, who was the Father to your child before he or she was ever your child. And we can fall on him in those darker times. I hope this song moves you as much as it moved me to write!
